I saw that, Tony.  In an aluminum bat world, that's even a greater 
accomplishment, regardless of the level of competition.

This team will be deeper than it was last year.  The fact that experienced 
seniors like Daniel Bruce in the outfield and Phil Shirek on the mound are 
really going to have to fight for playing time and opportunities to contribute 
reflects that.

Just like basketball, this is a great league when it comes to the hardball.  
NU, picked to finish fifth in the pre-season, has a chance to be better than 
that.  Like most teams in most sports, avoiding injuries will be critical.
