Following yesterday's postponment due to inclement weather, Nebraska will
play #7 ranked Rice today at 2:30 p.m. at Houston's Reckling Park. Zach Kroneke
is again scheduled to start for the Huskers. NU's regularly scheduled game
today against Western Illinois will not be played and will not be made up.

NU improved to 6-0 with their win Friday night over New Mexico behind Joba
Chamberlain's 15 strikeouts. Whereas NU's perfect start has been against
somewhat inferior competition, there have been some promising signs to take note of
no matter who the competition. In my opinion, the return of Duensing and
Fusilier from injury, have topped the list. It's early, but for those who follow
such things, NU is right on the cusp of entering the Top 25. You'd have to
think that a win today over a perennial national power would meet the necessary
criteria.
