[Husker] Steroids

I'm always struck and disappointed by how casually and hastily people
accuse someone of serious moral failings - failings which often, are
worse than anything they have seen in anyone they really know (not just
heard or ready about but really know).
Saying that TO looked the other way because he somehow didn't prevent
all steroid use by his players is grossly unfair. No one can control or
detect everything his players do unless they institute some sort of
Orwellian system.
Did it ever occur to you (his accusers) that if TO really wanted to look
the other way and just win games, he would not have instituted ANY
steroids testing (not to mention other drugs)? that he would not have
put such a premium on academics? that he would have a much more relaxed
attitude toward recruiters? It doesn't seem so.
