Here is how Osborne described the point system in his
last book "Faith in the Game", which I had the
opportunity to read earlier this month.
5 points: Felony Conviction, 4 pts: Drug Violation,
Misdemanor Conviction, Academic Dishonesty; 3 pts:
Missing Practice; 2 pts: Missing Team or Unity Council
meeting; 1 pt: Missing Conditioning, Class, Study
Hall, or Tutor.
Accumulate 3 points, and you have to go in front of
the Unity Council, which was composed of team leaders
who had the opportunity to review the situation. 4
points meant a visit with Osborne, and Osborne
contacts your parents. 5 points, and you are
suspended.
The Unity Council was retained by Frank Solich, but
was disbanded by Bill Callahan. I assume that
Callahan has replaced the point system as well with
his own process as well.
