While I probably wouldn't word it the way you did I do agree with you in principle. I believe the coach has to set the standards and if a player chooses to violate the standards he needs to be dealt with. If discipline shouldn't be forth coming why set standards at all? TO was/is a very intelligent man. Because of his intelligence he knew exactly why he was popular in Nebraska. He won football games. Have TO be exactly the same man from his integrity, leadership, graduation rate, being a role model, and running a clean program while not breaking .500 and I doubt we would be talking about how great a man he was/is. I doubt seriously he would have been popular enough to run for Congress and win. We recognize the quality of the man because he got our attention by winning. TO understood that and even though he was a man of integrity I always felt once in a while he would look the other way in the name of winning.
