Seems to me that you didn't mind "speculating" that there was some
connection (implying perhaps even justification) between how Callahan
treated Birkel and this incident.  When you complain about speculation
that counters your speculation it doesn't really make much of an
argument.

Then, does it make sense to run the program in a way that treats
kids just out of high school like professionals?  Personally, I liked
that Osborne and Solich had a clear sense of responsibility for the
players that extended beyond their participation in football.
