Normally I would agree Bob but when I read the interview with Shuler and
how Callahan never called him back after numerous phone calls it just
seems to me that once Callahn has written you off, you're written of.
It's sad really because Shuler was just phenomenal. Especially when
seeing the recruiting films on him and how they usually use a whole
season to get enough highlights and they just used two games because
Shuler was just a major highlight every game. I do wish Birkel well and
have no reason to care about his legal troubles as he's not a Husker
anymore.

Andy Birkel called Bill Callahan unprofessional. What a 20 year
old would know about professionalism I am not sure. However, it appears
Birkel is the one that is is unprofessional after getting in trouble.
Maybe Callahan had his reasons for treating Birkel the way he did
assuming Birkel was anywhere close to accurate.
