This is one of those completely misunderstood concepts.
Copyright has nothing to do with where something is published, or even
if copyright is asserted.
Under international law the author of something copyrightable (and posts
to the Husker List meet the definition of an 'intellectual act') has
a copyright from the moment it is fixed in some tangible or reproducible
form, whether it is indicated as being copyrighed or not.
That's true for EVERYBODY'S posts here, though within the context of
furthering a discussion quoting someone else's material is a form of
fair use. (That's not all that is covered under fair use, but that's
a different thread.)
Reproducing anyone's post from the Husker List somewhere else without
permission of the author is a form of copyright violation, just as posting
something here that you found somewhere else without permission of the
author is a copyright violation.
Class dismissed.
