I wouldn't be surprised either.
I hope we are not holding our heads in shame, similar to what we should be
about how we talked about Jammal Lord. Lord deserved better, simply because
he was a good kid who worked hard and did his best. I suspect Joe Daily is
a similar kid who works hard enough to become the kind of quarterback that
we can all be proud of. Even better, he may be the kind of young man that
we want our kids to become, regardless of performance on the field. I don't
want to regret saying things about him that when he leaves UNL, that he is
anxious to get as far from Lincoln as he possibly can get.
I want him to be proud of being a Husker.

I seem to recall when Joe was recruited he was
supposed to take over as a freshmen for Jammall Lord.
He was recruited because he could throw the ball and
Cotton was going to open up the offense more. Then
last year it was going to be Jordan Adams or Beau
Davis who we brought in to start at qb. Well Dailey
started and finished the season last year. Everything
that you read on this kid is about how hard he works.
He is either studying the play book, watching film, or
working on his throwing. It wont surprise me at all if
he is the starting qb again this coming season.
