[Husker] Dinner with Callahan

I just got back from the LOI signing dinner at the Holiday Inn Conference center. 1400 in attendance - they said the could have sold 300 more but that is the seating capacity. Besides Callahan's standing ovation John Blake received maybe an even greater greeting. Coach Downing was at my table - very personable guy - I can see why kids would like him. His favorite recruit was Nick Covey - you could see why on film - always stayed at home. He said Matt Herrian would probably not be in Spring practice as figured and that Zach Potter is going to play on defense. Coach Jordan also seem to sparkle - told good jokes and was very upbeat. The only downer from the evening was the Q&A period at the end of the dinner. You should never serve alcohol and then have open mikes!
