You guys don't know anything about Clearwater driving. That's about the speed limit on Hwy 19 through that town, Cowboy!

I think it's 85 on the Causeway! :)

As far as the "draft" is concerned, ignorance is bliss! :)

I'm surprised this hasn't come up on the list here and I'm
sure someone will write in the Public Pulse or Voice from the Grandstand
complaining about it but I'm surprised we haven't heard from anyone
complaining about Harrison Beck's mother getting off a speeding ticket
because of who he was. Now I'm sure he was exaggerating when he said she
was going 105 mph to get him to the spring game but I'm sure she was
more than a little above 75 mph speed limit. We'll have to see how bad
the backlash is. I know from my uncle's experience he got backlash when
he, as a Douglas County judge, gave Keith Jones a break when he was
pulled over for expired license plates. Jones was on his way to Omaha to
take care of the problem when he was pulled over and my uncle just gave
him a small fine and court cost. Now I'm sure my uncle's comments to the
OWH saying he was a Notre Dame fan but after meeting such a fine young
man as Jones he was definitely a Husker fan didn't help but he was
berated in the Voice and Pulse for a couple of weeks. As I said, I'm
just surprised it wasn't brought up yet.

On another note, I did find it ironic that a couples days
after I wrote in telling everyone on the List to show a bit of reserve
when it came to the upcoming recruiting class that the OWH would have a
large article about our number one recruiting class back in '85.
Especially poignant was how it didn't really pan out as a number one
recruiting class on the field. It also showed how sick of a Husker fan I
am seeing as I recognized a lot of names from the class and not just the
usual suspects. I blame my father for that i.e. there's recruiting
season, spring ball, summer (which always sucked Husker football wise)
and then the season itself.

Sean

P.S. KETV is still showing a special on the recruiting class. It was
tentatively scheduled for nine but with the State of the Union speech it
has been moved to seven on Wednesday.
