I seem to recall that in earlier seasons punter Sam Koch blasted 
kickoffs into the end zone regularly, but for some reason he wasn' 
assigned to kickoff duty this year.

Koch's punting this year was remarkable. Whether or not he could have 
handled kickoffs in addition to punting is unknown. It seems he might 
have been given the chance, seeing that very few NU kickoffs went 
into the end zone without the aid of a very strong wind.
