And it makes for a lot of really bad football. 

This isn't about "people being afraid to come to Nebraska" it's that most 
of the larger schools won't schedule home and home games. Everyone wants 
more home games, so they have to feed on the small programs to get them. 
So we'll end up with crap for football. Damned good thing we'll go to 12 
games a season next year so that most of the powerhouses can line up some 
make-a-buck fodder that no one wants to see (unless you make one of those 
games "bring the kids day" or something like that). 

Where's Mike Veeck (son of Bill) when you need him? Maybe he could bring 
some life to the lousy games like this?

Maybe he should be more willing to deal and get some games that people 
want to see. As you said, it's been happening for years. If that's the 
case, then they ought to be more prepared, shouldn't they?
