My impression, being at the game, was that so many bad and important
calls went against NU that the vocal, partisan crowd may have been a
factor in the refs not calling some things that were close at the end.
NU had two TDs called back --- one of them costing NU 4 points and on
which replays seemed to show a catch (or at least didn't show the ball
on the ground).  Another terrible call that really riled up the crowd
was after the Michigan punt returner caught the ball and then was hit
(by Shanle?, who had a great game at the end).  The Michigan player
catches the ball, then the Nebraska player hits him --- isn't that
football?  Michigan scored a big TD after that very, very wrong 15
yard penalty.
