This is an idea I have been in favor of for a long time. After the first yellow the offending player will have to clean up his act as a second yellow in the same game means expulsion. An especially eggregious foul would draw a red card meaning immediate expulsion plus missing the next game. Also after a set number of yellow cards earned (say 5), you miss the next game.
