[Husker] ESPN 2

I've got to say, while Washington delivered an inspired and dominating
performance in their sweep of the Huskers (and NU apparently did not show up
to play), it at times appeared the camera crew, commentators, and even the
officiators were suited up to play for the Huskies.

This was the single worst coverage of a sporting event I've seen- and that
includes the commercial break-interrupted overtime Frost touchdown we all
missed after the "miracle in Missouri" (those of us not actually in Columbia
at the time, of course)

Watching an extended rally from one (far) end or the other instead of
side-long or at least closer to the net, makes it nearly impossible to
follow the action. You often can't even tell which side of the net the ball
is.

That was annoying in itself, but the really irksome aspects were the
constant cutting to the Husky team reactions to every point- scored or lost.
Also was all the close-ups of rabid Washington fans.

I didn't make it to the game, but was in San Antonio twice this week and was
practically swarmed by folks in Husker garb. I did not see one single
Washington-clad fan. Yet at the game, it appeared as if the whole town
turned purple, with only a handful of Big Red fans to be found.

Oh well, there's no doubt Washington was for real. They played like
champions and deserve the title. It's a shame the Huskers didn't bring their
A game. It's clear that on any other day, the score would not have been so
lop-sided.
