Funny how we all screamed and howled when the media butchered Tom Osborne
for off-field incidents. Yet, Barnett and CU get accused of them and we
don't see a potential pattern in the works.
There is a book about all the stuff that's been alleged at Colorado by a
guy named Bruce Plasket, called "Buffaloed: How Race, Gender and Media
Fueled a Season of Scandal". Anyone read this or care to comment?
And if I were the CU Athletic department, I'd be finding every skeleton I
could and making it public. They don't have to associate it very closely
with Barnett, people will automatically draw their own conclusions. That's
why Barnett is gone, and why he got a $3M payout.
That's why they have a new AD and now will have a new coach.
Don't get the idea I have any love for Barnett. I think the guy's an
arrogant #$)@#*)@(*#@)#(*, but if you're going to want your program
treated objectively by other fans, perhaps you should start by treating
their program that way first.

On his exit, didn't Barnett say CU was a "gold mine" didn't he? Maybe
that's like Douglas Adam's definition of "mostly harmless" as "being one
of the most dangerous things in the universe."
