[Husker] Joe McCray Cited for Assault

... and to think, up until this point, I only had suspected that Joe had  his 
head buried in a dark place.  NU's talented but out-of-shape  sophomore star 
now offers us proof.

Heckuva' preparation job for your sophomore season, huh?  I hope he  can turn 
himself around, but holy snikees, Joe!  Guilty or not, there  isn't a lot 
good that occurs past 2 a.m., which is when this incident  "allegedly" happened.
 
It's not like NU had an injury occur to a star player who's been playing  
great.  They've showed some promise this year despite getting relatively  nothing 
from McCray aside from a lot of missed shots and turnovers.  Marcus  Perry 
and Jamel White may have an opportunity to contribute more.  
 
Averaged 15.5 points per game last year, set a Big XII freshman-record 80  
three-pointers ... now he's shooting 26.8 percent from the field.   Unbelievable.
 
The article says it was over "two men talking to his  girlfriend."  I can 
imagine the obvious jokes about how it must have  been over some Krispy Kremes or 
because the pizza guy screwed up his choice  of toppings.  I hope we're not 
witnessing a great waste of talent by a kid  who doesn't have his head on 
straight.  Wish it wasn't so, Joe.
