Class is something that has no exact definition, though perhaps it has
a 'Potter Stewart' definition. ("You know it when you see it.")

I feel it shows a lack of class to put a player's statistical puffery ahead
of the current and future needs of the team, such as leaving starters in
when leading by 40 or more points. Why not give the reserves a bit more
experience?

BTW, I also feel it shows a lack of class on the part of fans when they
use derogatory terms for other schools.

During the height of the Nebraska-Oklahoma rivalry in the 70's and 80's,
the fans were respectful of the other school. My in-laws had relatives
in Oklahoma, and it was common for them to come up to Nebraska or my in-laws
to go down to Oklahoma each year. They'd spar with each other verbally
ahead of the game, cheer for their respective teams like crazy during the
game, and possibly pay off some side bets afterwards, but there was always
respect for the teams, their players and coaches.

During those years Barry Switzer was one of the most popular public speakers
at functions in Nebraska, and always entertaining. Osborne was equally
popular as a speaker in Oklahoma, as was Bob Devaney.
