Hi All,

Going into the postseason volleyball play, Nebraska has the #1 seeds in both
DI-UNL and DII- UNK. Probably 65%+ of student athletics on both teams are
from Nebraska high schools.

Good Morning All:

The NU volleyball team dispatched Alabama A&M last night in Lincoln 3 games
to 0 (30-15, 30-7 and 30-15) to begin their quest for another volleyball
national championship. The team will take on Duke tonight in Lincoln
beginning at 7:00 PM, those of you in the state of Nebraska can watch the
match on NET 1. A win tonight and Nebraska moves on to Omaha for the
regional finals.

Action next week will take place at the Qwest Center Omaha where over 11,000
tickets have been sold for the regional final. Regional action in Omaha will
take place on two of the following dates, December 8, 9 or 10th.

Following next week's volleyball regional in Omaha on Sunday, December 11th
the men's basketball team will take on Creighton at 1:00 PM at the Qwest
Center, all tickets for that game have been sold out. Officials are
expecting around 15,000 for the basketball game which will be televised
statewide on NET 1.

Continuing with men's basketball for a moment, as previously stated the
Nebraska/UAB game time this afternoon has been switched from 7:00 PM to 3:00
PM so as not to conflict with the volleyball match just down 14th Street
this evening. Those who have volleyball tickets (or received the postcard in
the mail from the ticket office) can show either (tickets/postcard) and
purchase basketball tickets for $5 each.

Enjoy the games and good luck to both teams!

Omaha

P.S. - I visited with a couple of the volleyball players after the match
last night in Lincoln, it always impresses me how well mannered and fan
friendly these young ladies are. They always come back to the court after
the match and take time for autographs and photos with the kids and all the
fans. The state should be proud of these wonderful representatives for
Nebraska.
