[Husker] Basketball Attendance

Greetings All:

Last night's basketball game in Lincoln which was won by NU was played in front of an estimated crowd of around 6,000, though the official attendance (announced) will be recorded as 9,383.

NU (like most schools/venues) uses paid attendance (tickets sold) when counting their attendance numbers. The fact that some of those folks didn't show up does not reduce the number of tickets sold. To be fair though the weather in the Omaha/Lincoln area changed last night around 4:30 PM as snow moved in and became rather heavy at times and continued until around 11:30 or so causing several traffic headaches, that in addition to the game being on TV locally kept quite a few people away. 

While I have "A" level season basketball tickets I did not attend opting instead to stay home and watch on TV while switching back and forth between the NU game and the Minnesota Wild/Columbus Blue Jackets game in St. Paul (which the Wild lost in a shootout - darn). My tickets did get used though I didn't just toss them in the trash.
