I'm not sure what motivates Jeff to denigrate Solich.  I guess
it isn't enough that Solich has one of the best coaching records
and to coach a team to the championship game.  I guess by Jeff's
standard, unless you win that game, you might as well not have
even "played the game".  I guess Jeff would have been one of
those for whom Osborne didn't measure up for more than 20 years.
Then, I guess, by Jeff's standard, all at once Osborne was justified.
And, no Jeff, winning the national championship (such that it is)
is not "why they play the games".  You have a perverted attitude.
