I'd go with the 34-10 number, although this game could get ugly if Callahan

decides to "run it up" as they say, by running somewhat "complex" stuff all
the way to the end of the game (not out of the question). I am having
visions
of the Texas Tech game last year, only with the Huskers on the business end
of
the stick.

It concerns me that a number of folks are already wondering if Callahan will
run the score up against a vastly inferior doormat of an opponent. I am
more curious to see if he will have that as an option.

Arizona State should have been a "laughable" game in 1996 after NU beat them
77-28 the year before, except for the fact that Nebraska had a "new"
quarterback and several other new starters, and a key member of the defense (Farley)
suspended. The result was a lot of miscues that pretty much handed the game
to them.

We have a lot of new bodies in the offense this year, which could easily
result in a lot of turnovers like we had against Southern Miss last year, and we
all saw how that turned out.

I would really like to see a 34-10 win for the Huskers, but I will be
happier to see a game, close or not, where the Big Red takes care of the ball and
plays solid defense without any major mental breakdowns...perhaps a tall order
given the number of new faces in the system this year.

Sure hope I get the PPV in Hawaii,

GO BIG RED!!!
