[Husker] Re: Could Alex Gordon return for his senior season?

I don't know if he deserves a $5 mil signing bonus, but there was talk that
he wanted his signing bonus spread out over a period of time (not all in one
lump sum), and to be added to the 40-man roster so he'd be a free agent in
5-years. Is he better than players 38, 39, and 40 on the 40-man? That's a
topic of debate, but it is the Royals, who wasted all of their picks in the
late 90s and early 2000s on pitching and have limited positional help in the
minors. So in my opinion, he's a top-40 player in 'this' organization.

According to the KC Star this morning, the Royals aren't expecting Gordon to
attend classes today.

Right. Just open the vault to a completely unproven player.

What has Alex Gordon done (with a wooden bat over a 162 game season) to
justify a $5 million demand?
