LOL

Nothing.  And absolutely nothing against Alex, but player's
salaries are why I don't care about pro sports, except
rooting for the Twins or A's to send the Yankees, etc. home
during the playoffs.

But at the same time, given past history, why shouldn't Alex
try and get the best deal possible?  If you were offered a
job and the salary/benefits were below what you thought you
deserved, wouldn't you try and negotiate for a better deal? 
While 162 game season and wooden bats are different, it
isn't a career change.

Anyway, the Royals are on a tear right now with their 2 game
winning streak, so they could probably do without the #2
overall pick. ;)
