[Husker] Excited about the Huskers?

I am extremely confused about the recent posts regarding Huskers excitement.
One post even mentioned he might not go to a couple games.  As a lifelong
Husker fan, this is amazing to me, if I had a chance to go to a game, I
wouldn't hesitate.  

 

My family moved from Nebraska in the early 80s, not my choice, I was a kid.
Anyway, even though I have not lived in Nebraska since then, I have been
excited about Nebraska football every year, regardless of how they did the
previous year.  Maybe, if you still live in Nebraska, it is possible to
become lackadaisical about the Huskers, but I find that very difficult to
understand.

 

I never imagined that any husker fan could be a fair-weather fan; I have
defended this for years wherever I have lived.

 

I will always be "excited" about Nebraska football.  Forget about the Xs and
Os, for a minute and just be a fan.  We are all arm-chair quarterbacks, but
let's not forget about why we love Nebraska football, it is part of us.

 

I hope for you "fans" who are not excited this year, that the Cornhuskers
have a winning season, so next year you will be excited once again.
