[Husker] Is it Really This Bad?

I've checked out several of those other boards
occasionally, and this same topic has come up there as
well. So, I don't think this is a "Husker list"
phenomonon; the overall interest level IS down in
Nebraska football.
As for 63K fans at the spring game, I think what you
have seen is increased devotion from a core group of
excited fans who believe in the changes being made in
Lincoln. Over and over, I hear a segment of fans
talking about their excitement level never being
higher. (At the same time, I hear the sound of
crickets chirping from the rest of Husker nation.) I
even heard of outstate fans who called up the ticket
office to order spring game tickets who had no plans
to attend, just to help boost the paid official
attendance.
There was one other factor in the Spring Game
attendance: Sunny skies and 80 degree weather. (The
last few years have seen clouds and temperatures in
the 40's and 50's...)
