The latest on the Royals website (kcroyals.com) is that they've made him 
a fair offer and now it's up to Gordon. If he doesn't come, that's fine.

I think the Royals are full of crap on this. I say give Alex his $5 
million and his big league contract (which starts his 5 year clock to 
free agency). The Royals will be complete morons if they let this guy 
go. The local sports radio jocks here in KC are all over the Royals on 
this, the radio guys want Alex signed and in here.

I heard George Brett on the radio yesterday pimping for the Royals, 
telling Alex to sign the latest Royals offer and to get in and start 
playing in the minors. I used to look up to Brett, but now I won't 
listen to anything he says, what a tool.
