On the contrary, sir. I think these will be our finest hours! This
will be, at WORST, a mediocre season for the Huskers, with a ton of
upside potential!

I don't see anybody on the schedule we can't beat ... if OU was away,
I might put that game in that category.

I think improved QB play (for which we have very good reason to
hopeful) alone puts the Texas Tech, ISU, Mizzou, CU, and KSU games
very heavily in the "win" lean. Wake, Maine, and Baylor are nearly
automatics, although I hope that's just my attitude, and not anybody
actually on the field. Pitt ... it's just hard to tell. I think OU is
really the only game for which I could stomach being a dog. The North
is weak enough that with just a BIT of improvement from last year, we
run roughshod over the division. By God folks ... we are NEBRASKA! I
think once people see us play competently, that old Nebraska mystique
is going to start working it's way back into the psyche of our
opponents and they'll start beating themselves before they even get of
the busses!!!

As for the media ... bah. A more fickle lot was never born. Perhaps
because I'm down here in Oklahoma I can get excited about things in
Lincoln without having to be told to be excited. If Callahan can do
without Media Day, so can I!

Hey maybe I'm just drinking the Kool-Aid ... but for now, it tastes
mighty sweet and I want another glass!!!
