Greetings Once Again:

Tom Shatel's column in this morning's editions of the Omaha World Herald addresses media access to NU football and it's declining state. I think this helps explain some of the apathy about NU football this year. The most interesting quote in the article comes from former Kansas and current North Carolina men's basketball Coach Roy Williams who comments on his former office in Lawrence stating that the office belongs to the fans and alumni of the University of Kansas. He made this comment when asked why no photos of Dean Smith or Michael Jordan were on the walls (when Coach Williams occupied the office), instead only photos of Phogg Allen and Dr. James Naismith were present. Unfortunately a link to this article is not up yet so you'll need to check in at www.omaha.com, later today for the article.

In addition there was another article in this morning's World Herald about the new seating area in the southeast corner of Memorial Stadium, called the "Husker Sideline Club". These seats (38 in total) go for $5,000 per seat which includes your game ticket, parking, private restrooms, concessions etc. All 38 seats sold out this week. From this location you will be within 1.5 yards of the southeast endzone with a glassed in area for bad weather days and outdoor seating with field turf under your feet for those who desire to be even closer to the action. Unfortunately the World Herald does not have a link to this article up yet either so you'll need to check in on their website later on.
