I remember Tommy Lee at Memorial Stadium last year.  I do think he won
over the drum line by the time he got to play on the field.  I was
pleasantly surprised by the shows last night.  The camera angles etc
really showed the campus in a positive light.  The professors all seemed
serious about what their job was and that UNL was a place to learn -
actually I think that helped the fish out of water part of the show. 
The part where TL talks about his career in rock and role as he is
trying to get a tryout with the band was great.  The band directors were
like gee the rock gig sounds swell but you need to live up to OUR
standards - thank goodness the band uniform sleeves are long since there
are no visible tattoos on the Cornhusker marching band!!

If you just go with the fact that this is not really a reality show but
kind of a semi scripted reality show it was pretty entertaining late
summer fare.

As an aside - Dr Tim Gay sits in the same row as we do in Memorial
Stadium - I think I am going to have to give him some good natured grief
about his comments so far on the show and in the LJS last week!!

So far so good.
