Bob Stoops mentioned during the NU-OU baseball game one ESPN that the
addition of a 12th game _might_ mean a change in the Big XII
conference.
He said that they might do away with the conference championship game,
since that (to be) 13th game would cause havoc with rankings. (Seems to
him that it's unfair to those that do have the game versus those
conferecnes - big 10/11 pac10 - which don't have such a game).
Instead, he thought they might also remove the divisons for football
and play 9 conference games a season, with some rotation, and some
keeping of rivalries.
So, the Big XII might have some choices to make after the 2005 season.
He was also not for a playoff system, saying that the current format of
college football makes every game very important and playoff-like.
