[Husker] 3 Huskers in 1st 40 draft picks!

A guy might also be a Heisman Trophy quarterback and not be suited to play
QB in the pros. I can think of a couple of outstanding QBs at NU (one of
them even won the big doorstop) who never played that position in the NFL.
Yet I don't think there is any question they were among the best college
players of their eras. That sort of thing happened a lot with Osborne -
especially his offensive linemen; great college players, but not suited for
the NFL. All by way of saying the draft is not necessarily a sure indicator
of college talent.

Solich, the NFL draft isn't necessarily an indicator of a team's talent
level. In a given year it might be but it is not cast in stone. Who is
drafted is more based on NFL need than collegiate talent available. A given
team may have a Heisman Trophy QB but if the first ten teams in the draft
don't need a QB he won't be drafted during that time for example.
