Some good points, but the head coach who recruited
most of the athletes in those classes would be Tom
Osborne.
Solich's first class in 1998 is sometimes attributed
to Osborne, but even if you attribute it to Solich,
that class wasn't drafted until 2001 or 2002
(redshirts).
Some people like to use the statistics that you bring
up to infer that Solich was a poor recruiter as a head
coach. That would be invalid.
In terms of total NFL draft picks from Solich's
recruiting classes, you get a different picture. For
the 2002-2004 drafts (Solich years), here is the
breakdown by Big XII team:
CU 13, KSU 12, NU 11, UT 10, OU 9, A&M 9, TT 5.
