You raise a number of valid points, Mike. Our first stringers probably
aren't ready to play a quality game yet, and the second stringers, by
definition, are even less prepared. However, I really don't expect
much polish on anybody in the Spring Game. I think it's prudent to
recognize the game for what it is ... a chance for the players to get
some "game-like" practicing in, let the coaches see how they play
together rather than individuals, and give the fans something to talk
about and occupy themselves with over the next 3 months. :) It's
possibly masochistic to start forming opinions as to the team's
prospects based on such a game.

Remember they have a couple of dozen practices coming in August to get
ready for the season, and don't doubt that the OL (for instance) is
going to be doing a lot of "non-organized" technique work over the
long hot summer.
