[Husker] Dailey to transfer?

A couple of things...

First, as I have already mentioned, I didn't get to see Taylor, and I realize it wasn't USC or OU, but it sounds like pretty much everyone was encouraged by what they saw. I don't know who said it, but I'll take a Rich Gannon any day...didn't he go to the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl throwing those short passes and letting fast guys make plays while Callahan was with the Raiders.

Second, I really hope that Joe is just speaking out of frustration and isn't really serious about transferring. Instead of worrying about that, maybe he should worry about working on his mechanics, going through his receiver progressions and actually hitting a receiver in stride. If he doesn't want to do that...maybe he can talk to the kids at Duke or Northern Iowa and ask them how transferring helped their football careers. I am just about sick of guys who lose playing time to people who are performing better immediately start waving the surrender flag and head off to some 1-AA or D2 program. I really do appreciate all that Joe Dailey did for the Huskers last year, but if he is willing to even discuss quitting this easily, maybe he doesn't have the mental toughness or character to thrive as the starting QB at Nebraska.

I guess we will just have to see how it all shuffles out.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey Volk
