I agree 100% with this statement, however, there were plenty of times where Dailey had more than adequate protection yet still managed to either throw the ball 5 yards short of the receiver, 5 yards in front of the receiver, 5 yards behind the receiver or 5 yards over the receiver's head. He also made bad read after read after read and just never really seemed to put it all together, other than flashes of above average play.

I will also say that I think Dailey did an admirable job given the circumstances of being new to not only starting but starting in a whole new offense. What he accomplished however was pretty much based on pure athleticsm - he wasn't a QB, he was just a great athlete doing the best he could to make plays.

I don't think people should count Dailey out so quickly either and hope that with a year of experience and a better grasp of the system that he improves dramatically. He has the athletic talent and I think the mental make-up to be good...he just needs it to click and all come together somehow.

I'm not so sure that this is a given either and would be interested in your logic as to why...not to flame...but rather just to hear your opinion.
