I suppose the bill proposed in Texas isn't much different than Ernie
Chambers proposing on a yearly basis that the football team gets paid in
some way shape or form. It's the "send a message" mentality - gets people
worked up about meaningless issues then the pols don't have to make those
tough decisions about budgets, health care, etc. etc. etc.
