Yes, there was a lot of zone last year, but the CB's were successful in
man coverage a fair amount of the time (although they weren't 10 yards
off the line-of-scrimmage very often when they were in man). The
biggest difference in the 2004 version of the defense IMHO was the lack
of speed at OLB. Demorrio and Shaw posted the two fastest times at the
NFL combine last year, this year Sievers and Bradley looked noticably
slower. Cooper seems to have some speed but didn't get a significant
amount of playing time for whatever reason. Hopefully next year there
will be a return of the speedy OLB.
