Interesting from the LJS Blog:

Pederson deserves credit for making a bold change, knowing he would face some criticism. What he didn’t bargain for was the amount of criticism and a 5-6 season the following year. I was sure he’d survive this in January. Now I’m not as sure. The No. 1 job for an AD is raising money for his school. I don’t think there are many people lining up to write him checks these days.

They wanted to have $20 million in hand for the facilities project by last Christmas. At last check, the total was still around $15 million, which is no more than they had early in the year. It’s a long way from the $40 mill they wanted to raise. More than anything, the books tell me a lot of people aren’t buying this.

So, it will be interesting to see if SP does survive this. If the fund raising is as poor as suggested, then I think we will see changes sooner rather than later. I hope SP does get fired, I also hope BC replaces Cosgrove. While I personally would love to see BC gone, that would be bad for the team. I think a new DC can be brought in and use the talent we have. I do not see Cosgrove doing that.
