The points you make are true and valid Bob.
However, a good leader, a  true leader does not look for excuses or place 
blame. Ask what is wrong and fix it. If nothing is wrong, look ahead for 
peril. Show confidence. It aint the cards you are dealt, its what you do 
with them.
Attitude is everything.
