I'd like to note that what was sent to you was in private correspondance.
It's considered very poor netiquette to repost a private message to a public
list. In any event...

That you claimed he didn't live up to expectations and didn't sack well is
one thing, and I have no quarrel with you on that. However, to flat out
call him a "cancer" is quite another. If you think it's a "fact" to say
that Bernard Thomas was a "cancer on this year's team", then I'd appreciate
it if you could substantiate that claim. Dictionary.com defines 'cancer' as
"A pernicious, spreading evil" in the context that you used the word. Do
you honestly think Bernard Thomas fits that bill simply because he failed to
live up to your expectations?

I would like to see some examples of where I maliciously called out a player
by calling him a "cancer" or something equivalent. If you can find one,
then I will eat crow and admit that I was wrong for doing so. And *yes*, I
have been very hard on our AD, and probably on some of the coaches in the
past, but I don't think I have ever went as far as to call one of them a
"cancer." And I think there's a distinct difference between calling out the
coaches and athletic director, individuals who are often making hundreds of
thousands of dollars a year, and calling out a college athlete...many of
whom wouldn't even be attending college if not for their football
scholarship.

Again, I have no issue with people noting the defeciencies and inadaquesies
of certain players, but I'll be damned before I let comments referring to
certain players as "cancers" go without a response.
