I agree,  But in the absence of significant improvement in the relatively
near future there will come a point when HEADS MUST ROLL.  And if that 
happens the head that should roll first is that of the person whose vision 
is guiding the Huskers.  Hint:  That's not Bill Callahan's or any of his 
assistants.  

That's not what'll happen, though.  If 2005 is another failure, BC will 
make some coaching changes in an attempt to save his own job.  Remember 
how successful that move was for Frank Solich's job?  If that doesn't
work, Callahan will be gone after the 2006 season.

Kurt McKeever wrote in today's edition that next year might be no better 
than this year.  I have to admit that based on what we saw on the field 
this year, I don't have a lot of reasons to be optimistic for 2005 yet.  

As people may recall, I said back in January that the Huskers streak of 
winning seasons was being placed in jeopardy.  I thought 2005 was going 
to be the low point, and it still could be!
