Nope. Those quotes make me rather sick to my stomach. It seems to me like
the coaching staff is completely oblivious to what prestige and history was
lost yesterday, and I think some of it has rubbed off on the players. I
hope that is not the case, but Dailey's comments seem in line with what the
coaches have been saying.

I imagine Tommie Frazier, Scott Frost, Eric Crouch, Jerry Tagge, Vince
Ferragamo and countless other QBs that helped contribute to this streak
really enjoyed this quote as well...the "new kid on the block" speaks for
40+ decades of history being flushed down the toilet. Unfortunately for
Dailey, his only legacy at Nebraska might be as the "first losing QB in over
40 years." He will not be the quarterback next year. He may be a wide
receiver, and maybe he'll even contribute there...I hope he does.

He was right in one respect though. Yesterday did show a lot about the team
and their character. The pre-game atmosphere was more electric than I had
seen all year in Lincoln. Fans were ready to explode, and they *did* on the
trick-play opening kickoff. However, after they went 3-and-out, and
Cosgrove's blackskirts let CU drive 90 yards, the place went dead. The
players did not want that game, and it's a damn shame, because this was
easily the most important game of the year.
