On a simpler, non-financial level, it also hurts the team.  The worst part 
of not going to a bowl is the fact that we miss out on an extra 3-4 weeks of 
practice between now and spring. Considering we're "implementing" (if that's 
what it can be called) a new offensive scheme, extra weeks of practice would 
have been very beneficial.

There's also the intangible aspect of "program prestige."  I don't think a 
lot of people understand what was lost today by not going to a bowl game and 
having a losing season.  This was all we had left, and now it is gone...yea, 
we still have the sellout streak.  Another year like this and it might go by 
the wayside as well..especially considering the fact that we're adding more 
seats.
