Actually, my reply would be GET USED TO 5-6 SEASONS, THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN
DO ABOUT THEM UNLESS THEY GET RID OF PEDERSON
Does that make anyone happy? I didn't think so, but the point is, what are
the options at this point? To all those who said this move wouldn't work,
congratulations, you predicted it. Your trophy and gift certificate to the local
mall are buried in my trunk.
I have an idea- how about they fire everyone, go through all the BS that
everyone loved so much last off season and go 3-8 for a few years? When will fans
accept that when changes are made (whether they are right or not) you will
encounter bumps (and even disasters) once in a while? Sure, I did not think the
Huskers would go 5-6 this season, no one except for the Solich supporters
wanted that to happen. Well Solich supporters, you got your wish, Nebraska is dead!
Just one question- what are the solutions from here? Point fingers? Say I
told you so? How about waiting to see how the next 2-3 seasons pan out? Is that
even an option any more with these (us) fans? Gee, I sure hope so. No one (and
I mean NO ONE) will ever live up to Tom Osborne's accomplishments again. Has
any other team in history gone 43 years without a losing season? Has any team
ever gone 20 years without one? I don't know, but s%$t happens sometimes.
Instead of blaming things no one knows anything about, how about looking at
things like talent? Does anyone on this lst (or in America for that matter)
really think this team has more talent than Colorado? If so, how can you tell?
Nebraska was lucky to win at Pitt and beat KU by the way too. So things could
have been a lot worse. When you line up each game with players who are
collectively not as good as the other team, Knute Rockne couldn't crawl out of the
ground and get you a win, at least not in this day and age. Get over it, and let's
hear some discussions about what needs to be done to get to the Big 12
championship next season (and I can guarantee Dailey will make a fine wide out next
season)!
BB this is not directed at you, I would just like to read some opinions on
what needs to be done to improve the state of the Huskers next season. Over the
next weeks we will read hundreds of I told you so's and everyone calling for
Pederson and Callahan's heads. It ain't gonna happen, so what else needs
improvement? Anyone? Bueller?
