[Husker] What did the losing season cost?

The other day the Journal-Star ran a story saying that Nebraska-branded
merchandise sales are lagging.

Travel agents won't be selling bowl packages this year, either.
(That might actually be a bit of a relief to some of them, as I think
they contract for a minimum guaranteed number of bowl tickets, and they
might not have made the minimum this year.)

It makes me wonder what the true cost of a 5-6 season was?  Millions,
I suspect.
