The Omaha paper has a nice story on senior LB Barrett
Ruud, who will be playing his final home game at
Nebraska this Friday.

The story talks about Ruud's prospects in NFL. Gil
Brandt of NFL.com and a former Dallas Cowboy executive
sees Ruud as a third-round pick in the 2005 NFL draft.
 Mel Kiper of ESPN has repeatedly rated Ruud as a
first-round pick.

"The only thing I have as a negative is size," Brandt
said. "It's kind of ironic when you say a 235-pound
linebacker isn't big enough, but the game's getting so
big. But he's got production, playing speed, instinct,
awareness, and what the guy does is a pretty good job
of covering."
