This number always throws me since the 3 losses from his last year and the 7
from the year before only add up to 10. Then I realize, 2 were taken from
the year before without counting the 11 wins. That's okay, if you want to do
it that way, it means Solich was 33-3 for the previous 36 games. Pretty
hard to match that by any coach currently coaching. 33-3! WOW! Then the guy
has one bad year, 7-7, bounces back with a 10-3 team and you want to fire
him. And the 10-3 was (if you want to get technical about it) his transition
year with his new defensive and offensive coordinators and their new
systems. And we all know all about transition years, right?
And before anybody says I'm beating this dead horse again, I only responded
to Bob's 16-12 dig.
