I can only hope you're right that the Huskers will start winning
again, and soon.  

I wonder how the fans would have reacted to a 5-6 season under Solich?
He took a lot of heat for the 7-7 season in 2002, some of it from folks 
who gave him almost no credit for the 1998-2001 seasons.

For that matter, what if Osborne hadn't retired and had 7-7 and 5-6 seasons?  
Could Nebraska have been in the fix that Penn State is in now, being 
unwilling to fire a legendary coach who isn't ready to hang 'em up?
